Ashdown Forest landscape

All conservation tasks run from 10-12 with a tea break halfway through and tools are provided, but feel free to bring your own loppers, bowsaws etc. The What Three Words (W3W) reference for each site is the meeting point.

Sunday 18 June – The Ghyll Local Nature Reserve
The meeting point is 100 yards down the access path from Green Lane, just along from the Post Office

Sunday 2 July – The Ghyll Local Nature Reserve

The meeting point is the football club car park on Palesgate Lane

A butterfly and wildflower walk. Meet in the main car park at the end of Kingfisher Drive.

This is the new nature reserve behind Fermor School accessed from the footpath running around Fermor’s playing field

Sunday 5 November – Country Park Local Nature Reserve

Meet at the car park which is accessed from Osborne Road

Sunday 19 November – Servomex nature reserve

Meet in the Servomex front car park. We’ll be joining with their staff again to continue work to enhance the biodiversity of their nature reserve.

Sunday 3 December – Rotherfield Millennium Green

We’ll be joining one of the regular monthly work parties on the Millennium Green. Please let Kevin know if you would like a lift from Crowborough, otherwise meet inside the Station Road entrance to the Green. Free parking available next to the entrance.

Task: something for everyone – clearing brash from a felled tree to make a dead hedge, barrowing stone to top up paths, pruning the willow cage and tidying up the formal garden area. Mince pies and coffee at 12!
